First of all i would like to share here that i encountered the biggest and hardest problem when i arrived here.i was asking myself how can i leave this place peacefully without any regret as this resort is really SUPERB!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Let me eloborate it.

This is an amazing resort that we would highly recommend. A long journey from Australia but well worth the effort. Sea plane and transfer experience from Male was easy, with staff based at the airport to look after your every need for both in and outbound transfers.

Finolhu 50th Birthday!

My husband and I stayed at Finolhu for 7 nights for our honeymoon in early November. We were so impressed with the resort. The attention to detail and quality in terms of customer service, presentation of the resort, activities and entertainment available, and the general attitude of the staff was exceptional.

We spent seven nights at Finolhu and found ourselves feeling sorry for guests who had booked five nights and envious of guests who had booked ten! Our seaplane transfer from Male was our first introduction to the Maldives and the arrival into the lagoon at Finolhu was spectacular. After a brief welcome and tour of the resort in one of the many buggies we were taken along the boardwalk to our over-water villa. The villas face either directly west or east so you can enjoy either sunrise or sunset from your private deck or indeed from your bed! The bed is a huge king plus plus and sooo comfortable. The bathroom is spacious with a bath that looks out across the lagoon. There are two outdoor showers in addition to the one in the bathroom. Wi-fi quality is excellent and there are all the conveniences one would expect from a genuinely five star resort. We had booked a package that included all dining and drinks plus one meal at each of the three 'special' restaurants. Breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main BaaBaa restaurant is buffet style and the food is so good, and choice so plentiful that we found the other three locations struggled to deliver a superior dining experience. Nevertheless the change of scenery, a la carte menu and waiter service did offer a difference. The staff are exceptionally courteous and friendly and no request was too much trouble. There are plenty of tours and activities if you want to keep yourself busy but we chose to just relax and laze. The Bubble is a unique experience and although we didn't take the opportunity other guests who did spoke of how special it was. Finolhu sets out to create a 'chilled' vibe and succeeds in every way. You find yourself instantly relaxed. We made new friends in other guests and enjoyed a fun, social week but if you prefer to keep yourself to yourself and enjoy a private experience Finolhu has plenty of scope for you to hide away. Would I recommend Finolhu? 100%, absolutely!.

Excellent in every way!

EWe have literally just returned from 10 days at Finolhu - and honestly could not have had a better time anywhere else! The hotel and all of its staff are remarkable, as well as the views that are quite frankly unbelievable. From the minute we landed, and were taken to the lounge at seaplane departures, we were looked after so wonderfully - i am not sure anywhere in the world can compare! Our water villa was beautiful and every restaurant was a treat - every day! Every member of staff at the resort is friendly and helpful, which must be tiring but you would never know as they are all happy to talk and all of them are always around if not in person literally at the end of a phone call or text! Majeet - looked after our villa which was spotless for the entire time we stayed, clean towels and made our bed so beautifully i hated to get in and spoil it! He was a great help. Shiyam, Naaish & Deri - worked tirelessly at the bar, pool and beach to ensure our drinks were always full! What a service! Ammi- our Bubble Butler, ensured the experience we had when we stayed there was quite frankly the best thing we have ever done. He took photos for us, we chatted about the island and he ultimatley ensured that we did not want for anything at all! The food was incredible and whole night was just a treat i have never imagined. Atheedh- at the Crab Shack again was the most wonderful host, and made both our visits to the shack great ones! Ann, Katrina- with their fabulous friendly smiles were helpful everytime we saw them - in every restaurant over our stay! Needless to say - EVERY MEMBER of staff we came across was just superb, the above are just the ones i managed to get their names - they move so fast always on the move helping- drinks, food, all the service you couldnt want for more. we hope to come back next year - and would recommend this place to everyone we meet. I will be talking about it forever **************************** Thanks again for everything, we cant wait to come back! :)
